ong Index Finger Reduces the Risk of Prostate Cancer
British researchers found that men with longer index fingers and shorter ring fingers had a reduced risk of prostate cancer. Their findings were based on a study of 1,524 men with prostate cancer and 3,044 men without cancer. They couldn’t explain their observation, but suggested that greater exposure to testosterone before birth increased the length of the ring finger and the risk of prostate cancer. Genetics can predispose you to certain diseases, which you might prevent by living a healthier lifestyle. (British Journal of Cancer, 104: 175-177, 2010)
