Championship Met-Rx® Athletes and moms lend some muscle to Mother’s Day at kick-off of MET-Rx® Cares
In celebration of Mother’s Day, MET-Rx® championship bodybuilding athletes will team up with moms in the MET-Rx® Cares program’s first charitable food distribution event to benefit needy families from the Central Jamaica area of Queens, NY. The kick-off event will provide approximately 400 families with 1,000-gram bags of bite-size pieces of nutritious, high-protein MET-Rx® Big 100 Bars.
The New York event is the first in what will be a sustained nationwide effort to provide food donations to families in need as part of the MET-Rx® Cares program.
What: MET-Rx®, a world leading provider of high-protein sports nutrition products, will officially launch its nationwide charitable giving program, MET-Rx® Cares at a distribution event with Feed the Children and The River Fund New York, Queens’ largest food pantry, whose mobile operations have been serving the needy in the area for the past 19 years.
When: Tuesday May 7, 2013
Time: Distribution is from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
