Cell Phones Bad for Reproductive Health

Cell phones are indispensable for business and communicating with family and friends, but are they safe? Nader Salama from the Tokushima School of Medicine, in Japan and colleagues found that exposure to electromagnetic radiation from cell phones set in standby mode eight hours per day for 10 weeks decreased sperm count, sperm motility (movement), and caused changes in the reproductive anatomy in rabbits.

In other studies, heavy cell phone use was linked to decreased reproductive health and sleep disturbances. The possible relationship between cell phones and health problems is potentially so serious that we need large-scale studies to determine if the danger is real.
