Drop sets are an intensity-boosting technique used to ramp up the intensity of your workout and help you reach new levels of muscle growth. A traditional drop set is performed by doing one set of an exercise to failure, then immediately dropping the amount of weight and performing another set to failure. Typically, the weight is reduced at least three times, but any number will qualify as a drop set.
